Peigan Creek (F4-10)


Site Details

This site is a notable conservation success story of a collaboration of 10 project partners, all dedicated to maintaining its precious 960 acres of diverse and rare habitat. The site is about 70 km SW of Medicine Hat. From Medicine Hat, travel W on Highway 3. Just E of Seven Persons, turn S on Highway 887. Continue about 29 km S, passing the signs to Red Rock Coulee Natural Area. The site is on the W side of the highway. In addition to moose, white-tailed and mule deer, this site is home to loggerhead shrikes, prairie rattlesnakes and leopard frogs, as well as numerous other at-risk flora and fauna.

Restrictions

Day use only. No open fires. Foot access only.
