North Raven River (E3-56)

Site Details

This site consists of 430 acres of land along 20 km of the North Raven River (Stauffer Creek) and is 30 km SE of Rocky Mountain House. Cattle exclusion fencing was constructed along the river to improve riparian and instream habitats. In addition, a public parking lot was developed at SW-10-037-05-W5M, which provides access to excellent angling opportunities, primarily for brown trout and brook trout. Lands surrounding the parking area and riparian corridors are both privately owned and Crown grazing lease. Public must remain within the fenced corridor or obtain permission to do otherwise.

Restrictions

Day use only. No open fires. Foot access only. Obtain landowner permission before crossing private lands to access this site. Refer to the GOA website for information about recreation on agricultural public land.
