Schroeder (E3-72)


Site Details

This 150-acre site is approximately 17 km SE of Red Deer. Take Highway 2 S, and travel 4.8 km E on Highway 42, then S on RR 271 for 3.2 km and E on Twp Rd 364 for 1.6 km. The site consists of a large south-facing slope and topography that creates strong updrafts that are ideal for observing soaring raptors. Tree Canada planted 70,000 aspen and 30,000 white spruce trees at this site. Wildlife in the area includes white-tailed and mule deer, grouse and waterfowl.

Restrictions

Day use only. No open fires. Foot access only.
