Beckingsale Lake (E3-117)


Site Details

This 50-acre site is within a 320-acre Crown grazing lease, approximately 30 km SE of Red Deer. From the intersection of Highway 590 and RR 251 travel 2.2 km N. Enter through a gate on the E side of RR 251, then SE through the grazing lease to the fenced/protected area on the N shore of the lake. Wildlife in the area includes moose, white-tailed and mule deer, grassland birds and waterfowl. The lake has springs and a good population of minnows, providing forage for pelicans, cormorants and herons.

Restrictions

Day use only. No open fires. Foot access only. Refer to AEP's website for information about recreation on agricultural public land.
