Mound Red Reservoir - ACA Fish Stocking

Site Details

Mound Red Reservoir is a spectacular site. It features a large stocked pond and plenty of unspoiled woodland habitat. ACA stocks this pond annually with rainbow trout, typically before the May long weekend. Come for a hike or just sit and relax on the dock while you wait for your bobber to twitch. Migratory birds such as ducks and geese frequent the pond, and you might see a moose feeding on weeds in the pond. Whether you come for a picnic or for great fishing Mound Red Reservoir will not disappoint. This site is located about 34 km northwest of Ponoka. From Highway 53, take Highway 2 north to Twp Rd 452. Continue east for 21.2 km to the access road and the park sign on the south side of the road.
