Site Details

This 79-acre site is approximately 10 km S of Stony Plain and 22 km W of Edmonton. It can be accessed from RR 11 about 400 m N of Highway 627. Longhurst Lake borders its SE corner. Atim Creek, a tributary to the Sturgeon River, flows through the SE portion and into Longhurst Lake. The site consists of lush riparian habitat and native mixedwood and old growth coniferous forest that boasts a highly productive understory full of Labrador tea, lichens and moss. Wildlife in the area includes moose, white-tailed and mule deer, ruffed grouse and waterfowl.

Day use only. No open fires. Foot access only.
